PC Agrokombinat Dzerzhinskiy

PC Dzerzhinsk Broiler Poultry Factory, operating since January 21, 1979, carried out a merger with SPK Pyatigorye, PC Hotovo Fish Factory, and PC Fanipolagrotrans to found PC Agrokombinat Dzerzhinskiy.

The Poultry Factory produces poultry meet on industrial basis and is a core element of the Agrofactory, as well as a fundamental economic department of the whole company. The Poultry Factory consists of the following production areas:

- incubation workshop
- parental broiler growing workshop
- broiler growing workshop
- slaughter workshop
- workshop of deep poultry meet processing
- fodder workshop
- support and service departments.

Broilers are being grown in 19 blocks with the capacity of 75 thousand heads each. Introduction of modern technologies, of new equipment and the usage of full value fodder allow the company to scale up poultry meet production and bring down poultry growing costs. In 2006 output of poultry meet production reached 21.5 tons, it is 20% higher than in 2005. It is the result of poultry productivity increase. Average daily weight increment is 58 grams like in other European countries. Undamaged state level is 97.8%. In 2006 more than 6 tons of poultry were processed into half-finished products, sausages and smoked products, which is 51% higher than in 2005. The range of products is constantly widening. In 2006 the company launched 46 new products, on the overall the Agrofactory offers to its customers 280 different products made of poultry meet. The company operates its trade network consisting of 28 enterprises, including shops in Minsk, Dzerzhinsk, Fanipol, as well as shops in Chervenskiy, Chizhovskiy and Komarovskiy Markets in the city of Minsk. In 2006 the Agrofactory was awarded 4 Winner Diplomas in the Republican Contest "Best Production of the Year" and 1^st Prize Diploma in the Republican Contest "Product of the Year". Products of the Agrofactory were also awarded 3 golden and 1 silver medals in the contest "Golden Medal" which was held in the frames of International Trade Exhibition AgroRus-2006, which took place in Saint-Petersburg in August-September 2006. In December 2006 the Agrofactory was granted certificates STB ISO 9001-2001 and HACCP (STB 1470-2004). The Poultry Factory is a secure manufacturing facility, which operates under the strictest veterinary and sanitary control; it excludes any possibility of factory premises infection.

In 2004 the Poultry Factory was merged with loss-making agricultural cooperative society Piatigorye.

The total area occupied by Piatigorye is 4180 hectares, plough field - 3006 hectares. Cattle livestock - 2500 heads, 900 cows.

During the first year of the joint work with the Poultry Factory the output of agricultural products doubled. Products became profitable and competitive. The subsidiary produces corn, potatoes, milk and other products. In 2006 the output of milk amounted to 5387 tons, which is 12% more than in 2005.

In 2005 PC Agrokombinat Dzerzhinskiy merged with PC Hotovo Fish Factory. The surface of water level is 97.9 hectares.

During the nearest two years the output of fish production is expected to reach 100 tons annually; the premises of the Fish Factory will be turned into the center of agroturism via the development of social infrastructure of the enterprise.
